Strategic Arts Plan
Every five years, CCUSD revisits and revises the Strategic Arts Plan. Please see the links below to the current and previous plans.

In a series of meetings from Jan 2023 - June 2023, 43 district and community stakeholders led by professional facilitators reviewed arts data, LCAP, and past plans. The current five-year plans three Strategic Directions focus on Content, Infrastructure and Sustainability.

In 2004, CCUSD created its first formal District Community Arts Plan, led by the District Community Arts Team (DCAT) comprised of 21 stakeholders, including administrators, educators, parents, and community arts advocates. The plan emphasized four key disciplines - visual arts, music, theatre, and dance - ensuring they were integrated into students' schedules and supported by district funding.

In a series of meetings from December 2017 to March 2018, 35 district and community stakeholders, led by a professional facilitator, reviewed previous Arts Plans. The new five-year plan established a new vision and three Strategic Directions focused on Equity and Access, Implementation and Sustainability, Communication and Advocacy.

This plan update provided six Strategic Goals focused on sustainability, infrastructure, curriculum, professional development, partnerships, and funding to enhance arts education in CCUSD.
